We have six exciting projects underway with the assistance of the QMNC Fellows.
(Last Update Aug 2025)

QMNC Framework Index
This Priority 1 project to validate the QMNCFi is making progress, with target numbers of participants being reached in many countries.

QMNC Priority 3 Registry
This project is pulling together all existing metrics relevant to QMNC research priorities, identifying needs for new metrics, and making this information available on the website.

SRMNC Scoping Review
This cross-cutting review asks the questions, “How is epistemic injustice in Sexual, Reproductive, Maternal and Newborn Care (SRMNC) research produced, upheld, and perpetuated? What strategies can be used to promote research justice in the field of SRMNC research?” This project will also generate an equity statement for QMNC to promote, generate, and translate knowledge that enables women and childbearing families to survive, thrive, and transform, while unsettling current systems of epistemic injustice in SRMNC research.

Community Led Metric Study
This Priority 2 project is identifying best practices for community-led metrics for supporting and monitoring home births in low-and-middle income countries – goal is a scoping review.

Writing Mentorship Group / Strategic Plan 2
Leaders on this crosscutting project are working on ways to gather data on members’ demographics, current research projects, QMNC priority alignment, methodology, and how they can provide peer-to-peer support, with the goal of creating matches based on interest, methodology, and level of publication experience. A paper on the Listening Campaign and a Strategic Plan update is underway.

Ten-Year Anniversary
To mark the 10-year anniversary of the Lancet series, this cross-cutting project is asking, “How has the QMNC framework been operationalized cross-culturally over the last decade?” Project leads have met several times and are developing ideas for a scoping review, a bibliometric analysis, and a commentary.
