QMNC Research Alliance Launches New Community Platform

A new chapter in collaborative QMNC research, connection, and collective impact

The QMNC Research Alliance is proud to announce the launch of our new community platform — a vibrant online space designed to bring members together across disciplines, borders, and time zones to share knowledge and strengthen collaboration.

This new platform marks a significant milestone for QMNC. Since our beginnings, we’ve grown from a small circle of researchers and advocates into a dynamic, international network working to advance quality maternal and newborn care (QMNC) through collaboration and collective action. The new system reflects that growth — and our shared commitment to changing the culture of knowledge production in perinatal care.

A space built for connection and collaboration

The new QMNC platform offers members:

• Personalized portfolios to showcase areas of expertise and connect with others who share similar interests

• Discussion spaces and topic groups for sharing ideas, insights, and updates across research and practice

• Access to member-only resources including event recordings, publications, and working group materials

• Integrated news and event updates so members can stay informed and engaged with what’s happening across the network

The move to this platform makes it easier for members to collaborate, co-create, and contribute to the collective body of knowledge shaping maternal and newborn care globally.

Celebrating a community milestone

We wanted to build a space that reflects who we are: inclusive, collaborative, and deeply committed to global research that promotes, generates, and translates knowledge, particularly of the integral role of midwifery, in order for women, childbearing people, and all childbearing families to survive, thrive, and transform lives..”

The new platform also lays the groundwork for future initiatives — from collaborative research projects and mentorship programs to more dynamic ways of engaging with policy, advocacy, and practice.
